an immodest proposal…

an immodest proposal…

Just listening to a bit of radio on my lunch break, and i was thinking, yeah the syrian, and other displaced persons of war.  There’s a population i wish wasn’t around.  all the folks who are struggling for their lives in the face of such conflagration as to be biblical in scope.

We are already laying waste and fire to a land mass larger than the known world at the time of Jesus.  Upon communing with those whose life attainments we earnestly strive to emulate, who could refute their horror at the condition of the planet today.  We fight for everything, about everything, about nothing.
This demonic din is becoming the largest common childhood memory of several generations.  What do we suppose will come of it?  Good?  Hardly.  So here is my idea for persons of the year:
Anyone in a combat zone who wants to leave should be granted asylum in those countries or hosts or lands of forces arrayed against them.  Moreover, Since we are fighting for oil, we might just declare peace, and divide the oil among ourselves all of us, according to need and population.  The price should enrich the host nations.  All civilian personnel are guaranteed safe life and environs free of conflict, enforced by law law and order.
the money saved from war machination alone will probably be more than the monetary or caloric value of the oil itself, which is apparent to any with more intellect than a cow.  How many trillions spent fighting over how much oil?  We might as well shoot oil at the other contestants.  I cannot bear to say war, as this is a permenant police action, waged by the wrong entities.  Everyone in the world knows that we will kill to survive, and right now, oil is life.  Be nice to move on, but really folks, lets call it a duck.  We will kill everyone over there before we walk away emptyhanded.  We have to.  So does everyone else.  So in order to win we need to work together.
I propose the entire state structure of the region be nullified and remade into a protectorate for the citizens of the region, to be free to live and work without fear, earning a comfortable wage so as to allow them to lead a productive life.  The ultimate gunfree zone.  All hostilities will be replaced by a sharing of oil based on formula.  The citizenry will have no more claim on a world resource, and we will have a framework for the planet to share resources peacefully.  This umbrella is the “global order of the people”.
We could wish to work together in peace, helping each other to survive, and flourish.  Together we could retire non sustainable technologies, and dismantle war and force as the goto tools in the 21st century.
This is my idea for how make America great again.

What do i say? i say…

that Michael Moore is every bit as charismatic as Donald  trump.  Not as wealthy,  perhaps, but he has that handsome underneath it all, aw shit I’m just your grandpa drawl, and he’s great at showing us what’s wrong with america.  I think he thinks he might be the only one who sees it, I happen to think he’s just the only one who sees it who has become a popular filmmaker specializing in the genre.  He’s certainly isn’t, any kind of minority, in that group of people who see the results around him, and feel the need to go looking for the cause.

What he is, is talented.  And the voice, all buttery, like a good bedtime story.  I just love it.

If he hasn’t soon, he will soon enough wrestle with the devil of power.  Before that time i hope the american people give him a good vetting.

What do i say? i say…

the first hundred days..

The first hundred days.

there isn’t much of the colorblinded judicial achievements in America’s last century that hasn’t been restored to its rightful honor, until the majority accepted it.  Not to denigrate the efforts of many,  but I say rightful because it would never due to describe the advances in civil rights as anything other than repayment of a wrong.  Whether you think it was the interest, or the principle, whether you think it is too much or too little, the fact remains that it WAS a nation of WHITE people in the popular and legal majority during both the oppression and the remedies to date, that millions of non-racists, and their families willingly took on the sins of their fathers.
Willingly, just so as to impress upon ourselves the measure of the undertaking.  While many complained and suffered countless times, it was the values of our grandfathers, now old fathers, and mothers which came together with a recognition resulting in the civil rights landscape we have today, where generations of white Americans have silently endured the outcome of bestowing racial preference in an attempt to eradicate the demon of racial preference.
Have many have complained when others took a place ahead?  If so I have not heard much aloud, either in my heart, or the words of others.  We have gone, as a majority, inheritor of a dynasty that needed only our silence to arise, to a nation where the race of descendants of slaves, has not only presided, but was duly elected to rule over the descendants of the oppressing class.  I must say oppressed, because nothing else seems to do.  To say ruling class, implies that membership, or rules imply that rotation into and out of the seats of power occurs on generally equal status, a claim which assuredly slavery could not defend.  Still, without having actually DONE any of the slaving, we generations are the proud owners of a new landscape.  One is which the sea of faces looks…equatable.
I for one say:  Well done America.  We have now proven that a former oppressor of mankind, has come such full circle, that they will not merely accept equal representation under the law, but that they will infact demand it, by force of law, to such a degree that we would accept that turn in the hope that there may soon be no turns, except those conferred by competence.
