when people disavow “institutional sexism”, or “rape culture”, or whatever they are calling it this week, they’re referring to what’s happening in closed room meetings in corporations across america, or at private “meetings” full of men AND women hashing out how best to make their involvement, knowledge, complicity, and silence survivable.
trump calls it a swamp and snowflakes melt, whatever, seems more like a cesspool, want to drain it? Put down indignation, and cardboard signs, and vote with your dollars. Money and power are the lifeblood of it all, our money pays the people who allow this to happen. Without customers, no product can succeed, so simply stop going, subscribing, watching, downloading, buying.
When so called liberals have the stage, when virtue signaling is most powerful, who said, “Mothers, don’t send your children to hollywood looking for fame, it’s a pedo-rapist paradise”? Noone, that’s who, so thanks to the rich and powerful for telling us how horrible the abuse is, when you were, famous, safe from harms way. Thank you hollywood virtue signalers for railing about whatever wave of nonsense will increase your visibility, after all that’s what is important, you, right. Well that might be a little harsh, since you just say what you’re told to, so who is it exactly you’d like to blame this time around? No? OK Don’t ask, don’t tell.
Enjoy your little dramas, or your islands and boats, or whatever you’ve done with your self. It seems increasingly unlikely many people should piss on you if your heart was on fire.
So entertainers, entertain yourselves. Spend time on one knee, both knees, making little secret handshakes, acting like pissing dogs, or what ever you think is important. One thing you might not have heard, is that really, folks, you are not. Not important, not respected, not revered. You are a product, which is pretty far down considering you started out as a person. Just my opinion, many have died so that we can have the right to free speech …or silence. Use it well.
