So who do we task with this disgusting state of affairs? Well certainly the lawmakers and other people both chosen and appointed, who have left, created, or inherited a system which protects criminal cops from justice. The thing is, you can’t tell them from the 99% of people who they shame. All dressed up to party, i just can’t tell them apart. This alone tells me that confronting them on the street is not the place to express our “displeasure” with kneeling on the neck restraint of subjects AFTER said suspect is subdued.
Even in war, when the ONLY purpose of the party is to kill the other guy, there are at least rules of treatment for prisoners, and the penalty for violating the wrong one at the wrong time is summary execution after trial. Maybe that’s the thing we need here…
I bet if we had a provision to demote or separate officials from salary, position, pension, and privilege of future service, when their soldiers break the law, like the military does, we wouldn’t have so many addelpated tard orders and generals at the top levels of our civilian positions.
while we’re at it, taking a good look at a shake up and alteration of state and national laws and positions examined for salary AND authority review should make it clear that public service in any capacity is NOT the way to get rich.
If every elected position had a fee simple scale maybe we could weed out glory seekers raised on highest game score snowflake achievements. After all, the real risk takers who intend to worship money belong in the private sector, where their lack of breadth, brains, and ethics serve them well. We need to stop enabling fools, those who seek false glory, and tard screech idiots from finding public service a rewarding career.
Not to say they don’t have a place in society, just that it’s not generally valuable to anyone except themselves. When we get back to muddling along with competence for a simple job with a modest pension, a mortgage, and no interest in wealth beyond modest existence, then we’ll get the kind of people we used to, who craved a steady job, properly earned, and not much getting rich or powerful in the bargain.
It seemed to work, when and WHY was it tossed away? I suspect it was rather torn from our culture by a group with the full intention of the present outcomes. Perhaps a top down redressing of the roles and REWARDS of elected and appointed public service might get us a better class of dare i say …public SERVANT. I am sure we can find something to do with all the loudmouth bureaucratic idiots now occupying so many of our positions of authority in federal, state and local government.
There sure is a lot of glass and shit to clean up. Mask making seems to be an up and coming IQ test sort of career as well.
